Ok, I'm looking for a car that might be good at the occasional auto-X, maybe even track day. It only needs to seat two people and needs to be a convertible. To make it more complicated, I want it to be Japanese for reliability but, are you ready for this, it needs to be reminiscent of an MGB. On top of all of that, rear wheel drive and a manual are a must.
Now, if all that wasn't a tall enough bill to fill, I'd really like it if the car had the stigma of being for gay people or secretaries.
How about an MR2? It comes from the land of the rising sun but isn't exactly MGB like..
ROFL!!!!!!!!!
Thread win!!!
This needs to be in say what!
How about a 90s Mercury Capri? American brand, but based strongly on the Mazda 323, so there's your Japanese reliability. The Mazda 1.6 liter DOHC motor came straight out of another well known Japanese performance car - the 323GTX, of course.

FWD, though.
I have no idea what Dr Boost really wants. This is a hard riddle.

He obviously wants the rare Sunfire GT convertible.
You might mean "a direct copy of a Lotus Elan" and not the MGB gibberish.
and btw, I usually tell people its a hairdresser's car - did you beat it?

the answer is Corvette.
Not just Corvette, C4 Corvette... obviously this can be the only answer.

Thanks for having fun with me. I figure soo many people have a what car thread and don't want a particular car mentioned that you guys were just itching to say the M word.
