I'm in Reston/Herndon area for the next 11 days. I'd love to meet up for dinner (I'm on expense...) or something. I was thinking of spending some time in DC this weekend as I've heard there are few interesting things to see there, but I'm open to other things like working on cars.

Lemme know...

I'm about 15-20 minutes away. Not sure what my next week looks like - have some largely boring work to do on the rally car and may head a bit out into the country to meet some rallycross guys on saturday to organize/clean out our gear van before the season, and drink some beers (and use it as an opportunity to give the Porsche its first spring drive, if the weather is nice). All that said, I'm bad to plan around since everything is "TBD" with me due to kids, wife, etc lol.  Can't really commit to anything until later in the week.

Yeah, plenty of stuff to do in DC for sure. Those of us who live here in the 'burbs try to avoid the city, but if you're not local, you can spend all week seeing interesting things.

I can say if you're into science/engineering check out the air & space museum in downtown DC. Its an absolute treat for any die hard engineering/science person.

Another would be the Udvar-Hazy Space Center in Chantilly. They have an SR-71 and a few other crazy planes that most wouldn't get the see elsewhere. They also have a truly massive IMAX screen where you can see some blockbuster movies.

Worth the time for either air and space center.

If you don't want to do any of that....i do plan on gutting our chump car quite a bit(doors, hood, trunk...etc) if you want to lend a hand. Not exactly the best of things but car related?

You'll need to log in to post.
