I like the composite "formula car." Plywood is a composite...
In reply to Fueled by Caffeine: I have gone through 7 electricians who talked the talk but couldn't deliver. I'm not an electrician.
In reply to bgkast: You've got that right. I had to stop the 917 because of the recession. I started the 917/10 to sell to save my house. Had to start the F1 car because the 917/10 car was tied up at a tuners shop for 9 months while the exhaust system got built and the tuner didn't do the wiring. Now everything is stopped because of a lack of electrical talent to get them done.
In reply to Apis_Mellifera: Finally someone who doesn't have his head up his butt! I'll go you one better. I'm not a mechanic! I just decided that the only thing I could do since the recession had stopped construction was to build cars as I had done the 917 while still working. To say I went for it is an understatement. With a gun called foreclosure to my head I worked my ass off. The thing that screwed me on the F1 and 917/10 projects was so called electricians and computer companies that said they could but couldn't. After 3 years of fighting off foreclosure I had to sell me house. Now I have a garage full of the neatest custom cars I've seen anywhere. Anybody can take a Miata and bolt of aftermarket parts. Let's line up everyone who is not a mechanic who can take 1:18 scale models and build the real cars with just their imagination.
In reply to bgkast: One cylinder will fire in each engine on opposite sides at the same time. The car will not be competing in the Can Am Championship, if it ever gets wired.
Sounds like a wasted spark where the spark isn't getting wasted. Welcome aboard Jack2052. My guess is that if you were one of us years ago, those neat cars of yours would have been running years ago. Some of the most brilliant twisted compulsive automotive ADD minds on the planet frequent these boards.
