I have no idea what happened to my current insurance agency (the one for veterans) but the cost has gone up the past two times quite a bit. I sent in my info to a broker and got quoted *half* of what I'm paying now for almost identical coverage on the same cars with the same drivers. The only real difference is that I'd pay 12 months all at once instead of monthly.
I have no experience with either of the two companies, and I'd like to hear feedback from any people that are using them.
I had Erie when I lived in Pa.. highly recommedned.

Thanks! I somehow missed that.

FbyC and I often have highly divergent views on a variety of topics, but on Erie Insurance we are in perfect agreement. Had them for many years with nary a complaint.
Like I said in the other thread, Erie is top notch. I'll never switch unless I move and they don't write in that location.

My Erie insurance is great. I also have a great agent. I haven't needed to use the insurance much, other than advice, I think. Covered for 15 years or so. Auto, homeowners, renters and wedding ring at one time or another.
Been on Erie going on 20 years. Had one at fault and was absolutely no issue totaling and getting my monies to me. Rates are lower than many others, but I have some pretty big liability limits, but std 1k deductibles on the two newer cars and liability only on my truck. Also have homeowners with them as well and it looks like I can get cheaper for that elsewhere, but not in total with the combined policies.
I use National General for my company vehicles. 5 vehicles total. No complaints but no claims either.
My personal stuff is with SF. Again, no complaints but no claims.
