Guys I need some help! My 3S-GTE powered MR2 is nearly finished.
I installed a MSPnP2 after chasing a few problems (I had 2 dead cylinders, sent the ECU back in to DIYAutoTune who found everything was working 100%. My issue was my own fault as I had crossed #2 & #3 on the dizzy). My Dad found the issue as I'd checked everything over. The car fired up, and sounded great as seen here...https://www.dropbox.com/s/tsgbkvy8yu7ivcu/20190803_180726.mp4?dl=0
Shortly after this clip, my laptop died and I haven't been able to get it running right since. I've reflashed several different firmware, tried different startup MSQ's my TunerStudio screen is showing 9.9-10v when the battery is 14.3and the rear fusebox is showing 13.8 running. My PLX DM-6 isn't reading the same as the the TunerStudio Gauge either, which I'm sure is related. I've tried different configurations and recently it started doing this, and I have no idea why. The tach is going wild and pardon my child as we stopped by just to make thvideo real quick.

Anyone ever seen this? It does it with the engine not running. I'm moderately familiar with MS as I had a DIYPNP my F2T MX-3, but never had such issues with it. I'd greatly appreciate any help
Good ground?
Check the voltage az cross where ms sees it, at the plug.
I even checked the power at the Battery+ and ground on the Opened ECU pin and its seeing 12.5v +. I have upped the battery correction and am guessing my issue is ignition related.

The last time I had it fired up, it ran right for maybe 30 seconds, then began misfiring and quit entirely. I had installed new plugs and when I pulled them, they black with fuel. I'm guessing the issue is ignition based, so I recently picked up a Coil On Plug setup from a good friend who recently removed it from his 3sgte.
I just have to run wiring from for the crank sensor and I'll be able to see if my car will finally run right. It's been a frustrating battle as my last DIYPnP was not nearly as troublesome (it came with a defective Microsquirt card which DIYAUTOTUNE replaced under warranty). Which is why I went with the MSPnP2 though it was used ( Oct 2017 build and I got it in August of 2018)I have sent it in and they confirmed it was working 100%. I'm ready to drive the car, as it's been over a year being redone.
Are you trying to use the crank trigger with a Hall effect sensor? The MSPNP2 is intended for use with stock sensors, which are VR type on this car.
So I'm unable to use them?
You can use the wheel, but would need a VR type sensor. The PNPs trade flexibility for being pre-configured for stock electronics.
Found a small oil leak on the transmission, so while locating the source I removed the cap and saw oil in the distributor. I pulled the distributor out and saw shiney teeth.
The sensor has came loose and is shorting out to the toothed wheel. Hence my tachometer going crazy, misfiring, and erratic AFR's. Have another dizzy on the way!
