Anyone Else Love Old Magazine Automotive Ads?

I used to love the old Wide Track Pontiac ads that made the interiors look like the size of a bowling alley.

Oh, look, it's Mr. and Mrs. Oompaloompa out in their new Pontiac!

I was a big Mustang fan growing up and when I was in my early teens, my cousin and I discovered a huge stash of old magazines that my uncle had in my grandmother's attic. My cousin got most of the Playboy's and I ended up with all of the car stuff.

I picked out some great old ads and filed them away in my desk. Either late in high school or early college, I had a few extra dollars, took them to a local printing place and had them laminated. A few years later, I began to regret that decision as it probably destroyed the value of them, but in retrospect, they are probably in better shape today because of it. I no longer care about the value.

I dug them out of my own attic tonight. I'm still trying to decide if I should pin them to the walls of my garage as is, or if I should trim them down and put them in frames.

I think I had a pretty good eye for collectible stuff as a kid...

Just picked up a few over the weekend.  Not surprisingly, they were mostly Dodge Truck related.  (But check out that MidCentury Mod '58 Chrysler ad!)
