Glue the gasket to the manifold with Permatex 80062 High Tack Gasket Sealant and then gently tap the gasket along the edges if the ports with a ballpean hamer to cut it to size. You might need to clean it up a little with a sharp knife but it's likely that the hammer trick will do all you need.

I wonder if you could just find a fiber-reinforced material and use that instead of cork or whatever?
With the other tricks in this thread, that should ensure it comes apart and stays together

Yep, ports those size but also need the bit below the middle to seal off the EGR port.

I'm going to use the TWR twin DCOE manifold with a 79 12A iron, the ports on the manifolds are already tall so the gasket would be the choke point.
Okay good. Actually, friggin awesome, that's a great manifold and an awesome find!

When my son Tyler and I were reviving his 900 we needed a gasket for something, can't recall what for. We made one from a Coke case and his mind was blown.

I've hand cut them from 2mm ptfe with copper spray and they worked well. I think copper wod be similar.
I'll second this. I'm running a 1mm thick hand cut PTFE gasket my turbo 13B. I have had it apart and back together a bunch of times with no issue. When I try to hand cut gaskets right to a finished edge it always ends up looking like they were done by a kid with a hatchet. Under cutting and cleaning up with a large diameter "rotary file bit" works great for finishing. Sucks no one will laser cut the stuff, the fumes are death.
