Just wondering about these as a track car and not an 600hp red light car
I've seen a few at NASA HPDE and SCCA PDX events. For what it's worth they generally had a couple mechanical engineering student types trying to get the car to run right w/ a notebook computer, or they were walking around the paddock saying "Anyone got any e85? We just assumed you could buy it here...
I remember one guy I saw at a bunch of events over a about a year. He bought the car new and used it up in that time frame. Last I saw it it was smoking ominiously and didn't sound long for this world.
Edit: Sorry, could've sworn you asked about Evo 3s, that's morning thinking for you.
Evo 9s seem to be reliable on the track in stock form. I haven't driven one.
