No affiliation but do want. Sadly I don't think I can get the wife to sign off on trading the miata for it. And there has to be a catch
"One of a kind 96 e36 with a 2011 Ford 5L coyote. Same engine thats in the new mustang GT's but in a smaller more nimble car. Chassis is a 328is with full suspension rebuild. Every part is brand new and the subframe and front uppers were blasted and powdercoated. 90% of the parts are brand new including all the bushings. Less than 20k on the engine 155k on chassis. There are too many mods to list but includes:
Big Brake kit
additional drivetrain supports
adjustable camber arms
Bilstein PSS9 coilovers
blasted and powdercoated subframes and various parts
M3 body kit and many M3 factory replacement suspension parts
every bushing replaced
Car is an absolute animal. The coyote is matched up to a 5 speed with a stage 3 clutch. Car is running a 93 tune.
It's rolling on a set of rare breyton inspirations with hancook ventus v12's with plenty of tread.
Body is decent. Car could be repainted and made into a terrifying sleeper or stripped and made to destroy the track. Either way it'll blow the doors off of every other e36 out there and handles like its on rails. No one will guess whats under the hood.
would entertain trades for an s4 avant"

Easy what 440hp with that motor?
That's awesome! How much does that engine weigh?
EDIT: I did my research. 430 lbs "as shipped". That's like LS7 weight. I could get on with that, yeah...
Do want!
That's a pretty clean looking swap. I was expecting the center console to be pretty hacked up and the interior trashed. That looks pretty livable actually.
Glad its so far away. I'd sell the wifes minivan and buy that for her. I'm sure she wouldn't mind
great scott I bet that thing hustles.

LS-what? All I see are coyotes! HELLYEAH! Is the 5.0 Coyote roughly the same size as a 4.6/5.4? Width being the biggest concern.
The one thing I'd change is the steering wheel back to a stock looking one.
In reply to RossD:
They have always looked pretty big to me, dual cam vs single cam heads and all. Can't open the above CL ad at work, but some quick Google Fu indicates the Coyote barely fits between the shock towers.
That being said, I want a V8 swapped E36 BAD. Please buy it so I can live vicariously through you.
Wow that looks like a lot of car for the price. Wonder why so cheap, especially if it has all those upgrades and replacement parts. Most LS swapped cars I see are asking for $10k on top of the base value, never mind Coyote swaps.
Looks like a pretty tight fit in there - any routine maintenance that couldn't be done w/o pulling the engine with this setup?
Interesting. One of a kind is a bit much for my upkeep skill levels though.
Man If i had the cash and my wife wouldn't kill me id be all over that. Looks like a really clean swap. I want to know what trans and rear end though.

Yeah, the Ford OHC engines are massive. The DOHC 5.4L is as wide as the old big block 427 SOHC hemi that Ford built a few of, and that's a seriously massive engine
Yeaaah. What trans is in there? It just says 5 speed. Also what happens when the engine rocks left or right?
wow. Makes me wonder what coyotes are going for in the junkyards now...Maybe I should give the old pony car a heart transplant instead of a supercharger....
That does seem like a lot of car for the money, and leads to some serious concerns about rear end longevity.
I believe the new Coyotes use the same six speed that the outgoing 4.6L used in the last iteration, which means the 5 speed from my earlier (05) might bolt in as well but I'm not sure why you'd source the new motor and an older trans...?
I wrote the guy inquiring for further details about the transmission, rear end, and a few other things. I'll post the info up here if I get any.

Coyote Exterior dimension wise is close to a Boss 429 in size which is close in size to the 4.6 Cobra motor. Not a small engine but there is alot of airspace in it too.

I did find that the 5.0 coyote engine is 28" wide, 27" tall, and 26" long.

Depending on which year, stock is either 420 or 435.
Even the earlier Coyotes were picking up quite a bit with just an intake and tune.
