Please, someone buy this so I will stop trying to figure out a way to get it: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/5224259010.html

Shut the front door. I'd be divorced if I went to Atlanta and brought another non running car/truck home....
If it's actually in downtown and my trip to Notre Dame this weekend falls through I may be able to go look at it for interested parties
it must've had one heck of a motor for these atlanta guys to drag it all the way from arizona just for the motor. Not like its hard to find an SBF.
I really want one of those someday. Not now, but someday. I sent the link as a joke to my brother who's spending a month in Atlanta. At least it's a joke for now

yeah, I wonder. He says it's got a C4 but those weren't used until '62 (I think) and were factory behind the sixes and small 8s. If it was a later stock drivetrain that was installed, it can't have been much of a motor.
I immediately started looking for rolled late model Rangers with 4cyl-autos. There's quite a few out there.
If this was a 62 econoline van in the same shape I wouldn't have told you schmucks and I'd be driving to Atown right now. I like these, but not quite enough to go out on a limb for one when I'm already trying to clean out my garages. An econoline OTOH...
I think that a 250 six would be a great engine for this. Perhaps with an Aussie head.... and a turbo... and laser beams!
In reply to classicJackets:
Bastard. Now I have to call that guy about the 108 after work. Wish he had a price listed. I suspect it's more than I'm willing to pay....
but thanks!
EDIT: are you a Jacket of the Yellow variety?
I like to enable automotive addictions.
I am! Still here, actually. Going for the full 5 year experience.
It took me 5 years to get out with a bachelors. Don't sweat it. I'm class of '99, Polymer and Textile Chemistry. You livin near campus?
I saw elsewhere that the guy was asking $3600. From what I've seen, that's a little high for a locked motor but not much. Don't think I'll be able to play in that ball park, but I'll probably still give him a call.
Ranchero is on my daily craigslust search. We've got a pretty good selection in central Texas...

SWMBO is NOT a fan or I'd probably pick a 66-67 one up...
One of the few other Rancheros on Atlanta Craigslist, '57 with no eng/trans for $3250 http://atlanta.craigslist.org/wat/cto/5201197206.html
Ultra, yeah I'm living on campus in my fraternity house. Every other semester (spring will be the last one!) I've been moving up to Greenville to co-op, though. Going for Mechanical Engineering, should be May '18 barring anything crazy coming up. Always cool to "meet" another Yellow jacket in the wild!
$3600 is definitely high, but hopefully that's not too firm. Would love to see that get brought back to life!
