Ha! I met the guy with the yellow Tempo on the PowerTour some years back. It's still got the stock front drive setup in it.
Mine.
2011 Focus with a manual transmission. the salesman thought we were nuts for wanting a manual and no power windows. Couldn't get manual door locks
Already wore out the Hankooks it came with....Installed a set of Falkens and it likes corners so much better now! My wife loves it, I tolerate it. Gets great milage but is torture for me if I'm in the drivers seat for more than 20 minutes Scareing the crap out of my wife in the corners makes it tolerable
In reply to I am not BoostedBrian:
My family and I did the tourist trap trip to Disney/Epcot in'92, and had one of those for a rental for the week. It was new with under 100 miles on it. I remember nothing of it other than breaking the driver's seatback on the first day.
Only chance I ever got to do this:
Was in this.
I feel the warmth of appliance love, I just get tired of some of the antics of people who drive them. Not caring about driving shouldn't be an excuse not to learn a few basic skills.

Looks familiar. All manual.
To qualify as an appliance it has to be silver. Ever notice how many silver cars there are on the road? My kids and I play a game on road trips counting consecutive silver cars coming the other direction and or silver cars parked in consecutive driveways. There is a stretch up the road from me where there are over 20 driveways in a row with over 40 silver cars, SUVs etc. in a row.
I have a Saturn Astra. I've seen fewer than a dozen others that weren't at a Saturn dealership. Mine is a sandy metallic color. We'll call it beige, as it might as well be.
That car is INVISIBLE. None of us have gotten pulled over in it, even my brother in law that drives the thing like he's qualifying. He was pulled over weekly in his red E36. Since his driving habits haven't changed, save for not having as much power on tap, it's got to be the car.
It's a high-option manual car. It's a shame I'm having a transmission repair coming up to go with all of my 75,000 mile maintenance.
Wow, the pinstripes looked bad on that car. Those were gone about 5 minutes after those pics were taken.
The darling of many rental fleets, and company car fleets in the 80's (remember when companys actually gave company cars??). My father had several.
Funny enough, I just saw one of these in a pick and pull yard a few days ago...ah, memories....
Then, GM attempted to pull it's image out of the dredge...
