Case. Closed.
i know that Fiesta.
off topic, but i'm glad to see Mike sold that car, and to someone who appreciates it. nice buy!
Thanks much! Mike's a great guy and a real enthusiast (and a heck of lot better driver than me!) Part of the deal is that he gets right of first refusal should I ever sell...
Now if I could just find an inexpensive XR2 head... ;-)

Numbers are legal. There are other reasons that car might not be street legal in some states.
BTW- nice car!

pretty sure bo and luke violated all kinds of automotive and driving laws....probably not a good example
I wish some city, county or state would ban putting numbers on the side of your car. There has got to be a free speech issue there that could go all the way to the Supreme Court.
For a year I drove a state owned and maintained vehicle that had numbers on the side of it. It would be a hoot if the numbers the state put on their own car were illegal.
Cool Fiesta- I also remember the car from BAT.
Cool Fiesta- now there is a phrase I never would have guessed I would utter. I'ts amazing how your thoughts change as time passes.
I saw a truck today with these words in big, bold, outlined lettering. One foot tall, about six feet long.
SATAN SUCKS!
People told me I wouldn't have a problem at registration in FL when I moved here so I figured I'd push my luck and test the waters. I took this pic following a weekend at Sebring and drove it to DMV 5 minutes later. Note the rubber still stuck to the wheels! LOL You should have seen the lady trying to get over the door bar and by the shoulder support and seat head halo to read the odometer! She didn't say a word, like she just checked the VIN on a soccermoms SUV. She never mentioned anything! "Here's your plate sir"
I finally have a use for the pic LOL

My thoughts exactly, I would never use the Dukes to justify ANYTHING as legal.
Forever will I mourn the countless Chargers sent to the Junkyard in the Sky by that show
When I was a kid the Skoal rep in our area used to drive a buick regal painted just like Harry Gant's Skoal Bandit.
Here is a link, now i have to find one. http://www.beforeblack.net/skoal.htm
So they do not cover a car with Numbers or Advertising? The numbers are rare, but the number of ricers with greddy, trust, apexi, and other manufactor's stickers on their cars must be running without insurance then.
They might be, but that is because they are too poor to do more than add stickers

Mr Elliot bought Snyder's car...I am happy. It will have a good home. It really hurt that I like Fiestas so much (owned 4) and the stupid thing resided in the same town as I, but I couldn't justify owning it at all. Dibs on second refusal.

IIRC, that's a 10 year old paint job that he did in his driveway!
I love that car, he linked to the build thread a while back and it was amazing!

Not to mention the countless parts store delivery trucks like Ron Hornaday or Michael Waltrip (NAPA), Jeff Gordon (PPG) or Mark Martin (Carquest),etc., etc., ad infinitum
I drive numbered and stickered cars around all the time. My policies are clear I am not covered at any track event.
One of my T/A's has "Official Pace Car, Indianapolis 500" on the doors, so does one of my Fieros.
Never head of any trouble from other pace car owners.

I own a business that makes custom stickers and related products so I feel that I would definitely know if there were any laws prohibiting decals on street cars. I have never heard of anything like that, so my guess is that its a load of crap!
