I have a Q-jet on my '27 roadster. All of the sudden (after being run out of gas), the car is flooding heavily. I know that the Q-jets do not have power valves like the Holleys do, but it is flooding as if the carb has a blown power valve. Now, since the Q-jet uses the metering rods in lieu of the PV (?), I believe there is some trash underneath the metering rods on the primary side. How do I clear that out?

BTW, the carb was recently rebuilt and did fine after that. I can see the fuel flowing down the primary side near the center of the carb.
