Ok, in my regular troll of CL for cheap cars saw a 1999 A4 Quattro 5 speed car that broke the timing belt. Since this is an interference engine and in the bit of googling, my guess is the engine is toast. Fine for me as I am thinking challenge car and engine swap potential. The car looks like it comes with enough parts to be interesting. I am liking the idea of an AWD manual car just wondering what else I need to know and what ideas for engine swaps? This would not be for this year as we are still working on the MR2 but thinking sometimes it takes a while to collect all of the right parts for challenge cars so might be the right time to pick this up. So what do all of the enablers think?
