Or you could RallyCross in the snow with your local SCCA chapter and pay $35 for the entire day . . . . you know, just in case you didn't want to pay ten times as much to do the exact same thing.
Let's be happy that somewhere in the US is doing anything racing related, And it's kind of affordable.
I'll see your 35$ scca rally and raise you "back road shenanigans in the snow" for 0$.

Except your back road shenanigans aren't timed or sanctioned events where you can meet friends, crush them in competition, and win a plastic trophy.
AMEC (Adirondack Motor Enthusiasts Inc.) has a track at style event 20-20. 20 minutes for 20 dollars.
Must have winter tires.
Or three 20 minute races in your street car for 60 bucks.
Or...SCCV.org ice time trials on Lake Champlain in Vermont. Under $50.

This x10.
Also BSR at Summit Point runs a winter autocross series (which takes place on the tracks themselves) for like $60 - though not sure if they actually do it in the snow.
Lime Rock's Winter Autocross is actually much more like a Winter Performance Driving program and much less like an autocross. I think that they could have chosen a better name for it.

This is the only situation I can think of where I would prefer the weather from up north.
My local SCCA (Columbus IN) usually has an "all-weather" event the last weekend in February, which is often snow.

I've been thinking this would be a fun idea. A class for 4wd trucks and SUVs, winter beater class. Of course it would only be fun on snow and ice. I wonder if we could get the fire department to flood the runway where we do autocross.
