Those 180 degree headers work magic.

I would go for 180 degree headers if you can swing it.

PS: Jay_W referred to me as Andy above. Hi, I am Calvin, Andrew's youngest son.

Pleased to make your acquaintance!

Yes, I know this is about cars, but this is the best sounding motorcycle exhaust I've ever heard.

@Strike_Zero: That wasn't my best run for time, but it was for sound.

@yupididit: It's not hard at all. All the parts exist to do it. The only real problem is hood clearance, because the 351 is a couple inches taller than a 302. You have to run a real low riser intake, have a real low drop-base air cleaner, or modify the hood. By the way, a buddy of mine has a drag Fairmont with a 383" Windsor with a Megasquirt III, 88mm turbo, multi-port injection, 8 coils, and a 4" exhaust. That sounds kinda beefy.

my cousin didn't have any issues with hood clearance on his Windsor powered 79 Mustang because it was a factory turbo car that had the cool forward facing hood scoop that had a big hole stamped in the hood under it.. he just ran a regular 14X3 air cleaner. it also still cleared when an old Offenhouser single plane intake and Holley carb got swapped on.. that scoop looks good on any of the Fox based cars, and it's not hard to cut out the front of it and make an airbox for a cheap and easy cold air setup..

this is the scoop i'm talking about:

to get back on topic: strong Windsors sound good in Fox bodies with long tube headers, a 2.5" X pipe, and Flowmaster cat back setup with 40 series Delta Flow mufflers..

I just finished putting my headers in and now this is what I get to listen to everyday. I have always like the sound of an uncorked LS1.
