"Four door coupe"

Coupe/sedan legally is related to rear seat area, not number of doors.  You can have four door coupes and two door sedans.

Yeah, that isn't the vernacular, but it is not like English is a single, unified, unambiguous language...

As somebody who's car love started with muscle cars, I've always thought Coupe vs Sedan to be related to the B pillar. My 62 Comet had a B pillar so it was a 2 Door Sedan. This makes no sense with modern cars, where everything(?) has a full B pillar, but it's where my mind goes.

Three phrases I never thought I'd say:

"Man,Hyundai/Kia/Genesis is absolutely killing it right now!"

"Kinda wish I got the automatic."

"Wow, that Prius is stunning! I kinda want one!"

I think I said all of those this week.  WHAT IS HAPPENING???

That is "hardtop", no?  As opposed to "post" cars.

i got my first car in part because it was a hardtop.  I like the way they look with all of the windows open.

Wasn't too many years ago (only 25 or 30) I still turned my nose up at post cars! Even though all I could afford in '79 was a 64 Comet 202. (2dr post). I might have kept it longer if it had been a hardtop

Ford/Merc also had 4 dr "hardtops" as opposed to the standard 4 dr sedan (post)

coupe was a word used, but not so much for the Falcon/Fairlane/Galaxy era.

Nothing annoyed 17 year old me more than the fact that my rear windows did not open ALL the way.

Same color, had wire hubcaps.  Not long after the car got Eagle STs and dog dish hubcaps, a decision I still stand by.

Okay, a lot of things annoyed me more, like waking up in the morning, but you get the idea.

Um, there is a rear window?angel

Great car laugh

The dog dish was a great decision. Today, I'd prolly roll with the wire hubcaps! The ones in picture gotta go.

Now that's funny!

130hp is plenty.

Slow cars can be more fun.

EFI isn't the devil.

I'm fine leaving this car completely stock.

Id rather have the 4cyl.

I wish I didn't have this ancient stereo. Who even owns CDs anymore anyway?

Once I put my four '84 Oldsmobile Cutlass factory wire wheel hubcaps through a full dishwasher cycle to only be disappointed in the outcome.

"I think the next vehicle we buy should be an EV".

Never in a million years did I think I would be saying that.  But with recently added solar power on my home that is wildly overproducing power, I can quite literally run one almost for free.

"I wonder what it would take to swap the fwd 6 speed manual into a Saturn Relay (minivan thing) with the 3.9?" I wondered to myself tonight.

To be fair, the train of thought started off on what a Malibu Maxx SS with a stick would be like.

edit: to give some context - hanging out around 24 hrs of Lemons stuff can lead you to some weird places, lol.

Very interested in a build thread on the solar.
without some superconductors, or a roof a block long, well, I'm very interested in more info, without a hijack of a very fun thread!

Wouldn't have thought of that. My wife is prolly glad I didn't, and now I will not be tempted if the suggestion ever come up!
