AFAIK there were no US 4.2s with an 01E. The C5 S6 was auto-only here, and when the B6 S4 came out it had the 0A1 instead.

GMC Sierra Denali (pickup), Yukon Denali (suv), and Chevy Silverado SS (pickup) in the early - mid 2000's had 6.0L full time AWD drivetrains.
My 2001 GMC Sierra C3 (one year only model) has the Denali drivetrain, I added a supercharger years ago and have put 9 psi through all 4 wheels for over 100,000 miles. Ok, I did sort of grenade the trans (stock 4L60E), but that was my fault (6000 rpm 1-2 shift under full boost, lots of traction..boom). Transfercase and everything else are still just fine.

Are there things one should worry about using an early 2000 donor(01-04) ... for this exercise or did the mother ship behave and all is well with this AWD drivetrain ???
