I want to add, at the very least, an oil pressure gauge and possibly an oil temp gauge to my DD Miata. I don't want to do any tapping or line-teeing or whatever so I'm probably just stuck with getting a "real" oil gauge and sender to replace the OEM ones. (I've looked up how to modify the stock gauge and it isn't worth the hassle, easier to just screw in a new adapter+sender) What would be a cheap but reasonably accurate gauge/sender combination?
I went with a couple of Autometers, with a clumsy (too long) braided line and a bunch of adapters from Pegasus.
Oil pressure is easy, just get the factory gauge and sender from a 1990-94 and plug it into the stock cluster and wiring. It doesn't get any simpler.
What year Miata? Changing from the 94-97 idiot gauge to the 89-93 real gauge for oil pressure is much simpler than adding an aftermarket unit.
There's a couple guys on the board that part out Miatas......I bought a sender/gauge from Metalman and have been happy with the results.

FYI, the 1994 model also has the real gauge in it. The change was made in 1995.
