I have a chance to buy a set of BFG Rivals that are were made in 2013 but never mounted. It would be a $120 savings over "new" ones. The have been stored properly. Thoughts?

I'd say you should go for it. They might be very slightly less grippy than a new set, but I'd say the savings is worth it unless you're ultra-serious about winning.
Yeah i'd run them.
Now I have to convince myself to buy wheels to put them on. Why can't anyone make something cool in 255/50/16?
