Anyone done this? Seems like superbike clusters are plentiful and cool. Not that we'd use much of the tach

They are also very self contained with indicators and all. The though has crossed my mind a few times, so im interested in what response the hive gives. My only concern would be figuring out how to get them to read right.
/\ this would be cool, or this \/

You can also go to danmoto. They are cheap. Quality is ok.
Being afterkarket, the speedometet can be adjust. They use a magnetic sensor. Usually a magnet on the bike wheel. One can be mount to a brake hub or drive shaft to catch the rotation

Fully aftermarket? JK, seems like a good thing to explore

Lol yeah i got a call while writing on said phone... so it posted itself! Damn phone... (sound funny.. it is a phone afterall... lol)
Also, some speedometer are gps based. I think koso and acewell have some. Motogadgets are the best and look really good but.. at 600$+... you can have better deals on regular automotive units.
This topic reminds me of what this guy has done with hijacking the LCD display of an SV650 with an Arduino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pzvj8wLwQjo
Rod Run did ith with his 351 locost. used the Trail Tech Vapor. Ebay cluster so he had all of his info up front and together.
I looked at vapors for SWMBO's dual sport a while back, that is one of the ones I have been thinking about too.

Right? I think this would fit the decor

That is bad ass.
I think I'm going to explore this in the interest of doing a kit people could buy. I bet a lot of enthusiasts would love a simple, cheap motorsport inspired cluster in their cars. I'll keep you guys updated. Please feel free to share resources if you have any, thanks!
The Miatabusa utilizes a Hayabusa's gauge cluster in place of the Miata unit.

If you use 4 cylinder tach on a 6 cylinder engine, a 12k rpm is now a 8k rpm tach! Just renumber it! (I think thats right, anyway)
I had a GSXR1000 cluster and a couple small Autometer gauges in my race car when it had a GSXR1000 engine. I switched to a Stack dash when I swapped in a Hayabusa engine. The bike clusters are OK, but if you want RPM/oil temp+pressure/water temp/fuel pressure and programmable warnings plus maybe a well integrated shift light the bike dash won't get you there.
Anyone ever try this? Or will i be the first with the challenge car?
Orderd one from ebay a few minutes ago.
a cheap 928 seemed like such a great idea at the time...... the students learned a lot and got some great experience so not a total catastrophe.
I still think bike instrumentation would be very cool. Good luck, keep us posted.
