Cool light show. I wouldn't want to pay for repairs when they go wrong though.
Cool stuff, if I have children and then they have children, they will dig it
I can benefit from the beam exclusion right now though!
I am conflicted. I agree with most of the comments here.......... on both sides. Very cool but complex and expensive.
M030 said, "it'll be projecting a check engine light on the pavement in front of the car in no time." Lol.
Being the "other guy," I'm quite concerned with the exclusion pattern accuracy and speed. I sure wouldn't want to meet Jimmy Richboy on a 2 lane road with dips and curves. I'd probably be snow-blinded before his ride's computer realized I was not a pedestrian.
The question is if the video windscreen makes this unnecessary? We pretty much have the technology to replace the front window with a video image that will be impervious to most weather and light conditions. The tracking technology for the laser lights would just be overlapping technology. Kids are already programed to drive video games, so it might be a good time to get rid of the dump round thing in front of the driver and replace it with a proper hand-held controller.
That is super-cool, especially the part about excluding other vehicles from the high beams and illuminating the width of the car on the road in front of you!

Yeah, but I said the same thing about adaptive cruise control and stuff 5 years ago, and now I've got it on my plebeian Fusion.
In 10 years, you'll be able to buy a honda civic with lazerbeams.
You'll need to log in to post.
