MB offers 5 cars, 5 SUV's and 3 roadsters.
BMW offers 5 cars, 3 SUV's and 1 roadster
Are Smart Cars and MINI's factored into these numbers?
To answer your questions, the sales #s for smart, MINI, and Sprinter vans were NOT included. Surprisingly, M-B has been ahead of BMW all these years, but Lexus has topped M-B for the past 13. So BMW topped both M-B and Lexus...if I read correctly.
BTW, the numbers separating(sp?) the two German brands were only about 2,500-2,600 units. Both brands had better than usual December sales numbers, but BMW managed to pull just that small bit ahead by December 31st.
I can believe it.. I see a LOT more BMWs than MBs around here... and yes, the stereotype is alive and well for 99% of them
I've been saying it for years, BMW makes a better car than MB. I'm sure the MB fans are going to flame me for saying that but it's true.
I have been in both.. I think BMWs ride better and are more comfy than most MBs.. that said, I have never been in the BIG Benz's.. just the small and mids
I found an ad on my "local" CL for a 2001 S500 AMG. The price? $7999. The "kicker? About 250K miles!!!.
My sister won a 2001 S series when M-B of North America "raffled" one for existing owners (my BIL has an E-class), her's was a S420. Never was invited to even sit in it. She eventually sold it and her 1999 Mustang to get a Prius. She thinks the Prius is one great car.
