So I've got a 1961 Pontiac Laurentian. I'd like not to die when I drive it through the mountains. It is a Canadian Pontiac so essentially a 1961 Biscayne under the skin. Bought Disc Brake Kit. The instructions are a little (lot) vague but getting through it. Except when it goes time to load the calipers. They came with some clips and I can't fathom how to install them.

Calipers with pads (no clips)
Apparently these calipers are from a 79 to 86 G-Body. Similar to a S10. Anyone have an idea how the clips would fit? Thanks.
Should be holes in the back of the inboard pads to fit the bigger clip. They hold the pad into the piston. I'm not sure what the smaller clip does.
Edit: hole
i still can't figure out how to hot link a pic, but if you Google D52 brake pad, you'll see pics of how it's done
Okay, the smaller clip may go in the hole on the backside of the caliper. Try that

Those are exactly like what is on my 2003 S10. Man, I despise those clunky calipers.
Got the big clip. It was quite stiff to go in so I appreciate the help. Thanks!
I'll take another look at the small one.
Here is a nice diagram I found with the D52 hint
