I just did a time trial with the Daewoo and noticed something odd with the front brakes - they're blue now. What the hell?

Heat caused this. If you heat up a piece of steel or iron to a certain temp the metal will change colors one of them will be blue. This just means that your rotors reached a temp of over 600 deg. F.

Heh heh... the solid front disks on my Nissan were permanently purple.

If the brakes aren't smoking or glowing then you're not using them!

Or you use Carbotech pads.

I thought so, is this something I need to worry about? Are the rotors going to get brittle or anything like this with the heavy heat load?
