OK, I lied, but BAT has gone so upscale I'm losing some attachment to it. Whereas Barn Finds keeps a steady flow of cool crap that mere mortals can consider bringing back to life.

FTFY
I always thought Daily Turismo (dailyturismo.com) was like the GRM version of BaT, since they only list stuff under $15k. Really great site. I'll have to check out Barn Finds too. I finally unsubscribed from the BaT e-mails last month as they have indeed moved to target an audience that's a few tax brackets above mine.
Yeah BaT is now like a "cool cars" section of the DuPont Registry...I haven't even browsed it for fun in years.

Heh! I almost said something like that. Old rusty cars are like the town tramp that you remember back when she was young and innocent. Most people stay away, but there's always someone who thinks that he can help her turn her life around.

Thanks for the heads up on Daily Turismo. Hadn't heard of it before, 10 second scan of the first page seems pretty good.

Oh... I don't know. I get the daily email and while most stuff does seem to sell on the high side of the market these days, occasionally some reasonably good deals can be had. My issue most of these cars I wouldn't even consider without a personal inspection, and definitely not for what they're selling for. How some of these cars can be bought sight-unseen is beyond me.

My signature is relevant.
Aw man, someone stole my idea. I was going to call it FriendsOfRust dot com or maybe TheFlapwheel dot com. Could've done a partnership with Evapo-Rust or cheap whisky.

A super cool car going for cheap currently.

Don;t be showing that to people. I am about this close to convincing my wife to let me haul that home som I can chop it up and use all the mechanicals for the 28 roadster.

That car is not financially restorable. It would take 90K to build a car worth 20K when you are done. If it sells it will take a owner with more money then sense to rebuild it or someone like me to cut it apart and help other poor delusional souls restore or repair the 75's that they have.
Sometimes finances take a back seat to passion.
Don't know if anyone would go that far on a Caddy, though.

'28 roadster what? Why would you want a flathead v-8 Cad engine save for another similar car?
You'll need to log in to post.
