Because I want to know how it will do in RTR.

You mean 18.1cm? (which is pretty average for a stock sports car)
OK, I sit here green with envy because I have been patiently waiting for two months for the dealer to call and tell me my FRS has arrived. Your buddy just gets a call from a daler, and just happens to have one laying around!
And I was lying about the patient bit!
I did test drive one a few weeks back. Short of it is that it is the re-incarnation of the 240Z. Good stuff since I have fond memories of the one the family had when I was learning to drive.
Ca't wait...
As to the "lacks a 100 horsepower" crowd...you have not a clue what you speak of. Different product alltogether other than being tossed in the same barrel as the other two.

To be fair he went straight to the dealer when they announced those 'lists' of people who wanted to buy weeks ago and talked to the sales persons about wanting one. He was also second in line, but the first person's financing fell through. There were also 6 other people there in line to buy it after him, at 7pm when they unloaded it off the trailer. Looks like they shotgunned the people on the list figuring someone would buy it. After driving it he said he wanted it, the rest is history...

Sorry! That's the figure for centre of gravity. The ground clearance is 4.9".
Oh that's quite low. I might raise it from there, on these streets less than 6" is really asking for it.

BECAUSE RACECAR!
I still can't get over those 86 badges on the car, that takes some ballz
Yeah, in the press briefing, they compared it to the Cayman & GT-R (lower), and Lexus LFA (slightly higher). Canadian buyers would probably garage their cars over the winter – not much chance of snow clearance there! My MX3 has 5.7" of clearance, and it's awful on ruts.
In reply to Tim Baxter:
Aftermarket on the power adders, I mean TuRD , there's space for turbo or SC and it will happen.
AWD not possible given the engine position essentially on with the front of the engine about an inch past the front wheels, the trans looks funny sticking into the engine bay all by itself...
Tim Baxter wrote: I just can't believe there is no AWD OR turbo option. Rules me out.
Maybe I am just an old dude, but I strongly prefer to RWD naturally aspirated sports cars.
Anybody else thinking the 2013 Genesis coupe with 274 hp, 275 lb-ft of torque, and a $25,125 MSRP might make for an interesting competitor?
In reply to Otto Maddox:
not with it's curb weight...
And goodluck finding one, and then goodluck finding one without the obscene dealer markup...
Wow, first car sold to someone who knows a poster here, and the car is so inadequate that it needs another $2-10k worth of mods?
so it missed the apparent mark, then.
I need a backseat to hold 6'4" college kid when is home traveling with the family? Also 4th grade chick.
Oh yeah, that $25,000+ is not in the budget either....LOL

I can't think of a single car available that i couldn't/wouldn't spend another $2k-$10k in mods. I imagine that the majority on this board would feel the same way.

3,362 lbs. Ouch. I guess that is what happens when you try to build a sports coupe on a luxury car chassis. But then again, BMWs are big fat pigs, even the 1-series, and they are pretty fun to drive.

Does anyone buy a car and not think it needs a lot of mods? I am pretty sure if you gave me any car and I would be wanting to modify it within seconds of having it.

Not me. I am not spending jack E36 M3 on modding a new car. For what they cost, they better come out of the box right. Otherwise, I'll just buy a cool used car for less than half the price of the new car and mod it.
