I was interupted by a telemarketer while watching that video, Its the first time that a telemarketer was less annoying that what I was doing before they called!!!
I don't understand why anyone would spend $100K to build or own a fake anything. For that money you could buy some awfully impressive cars and have them appreciate and perform like the real thing. That thing probably won't even outperform the donor Boxter in terms of performance or value.
He will never get it done. Same team was going to build enzo/MC/wraith bodies took deposits never got it finished. Ruined the mold in some stupid fashion.

+Eleventy Billion.
also, did they say BuCatti?
At first I thought that was on purpose to not incur the legal department wrath.. Then I saw that in the same paragraph they spelled it right and realized they are just dumb.

Agree here. I get very annoyed by the auction results commentators that say stupid stuff like "well, that was only 5% of the value of a real one, so it is a great bargain!" The value of the real one has nothing to do with the value of a fake, no matter how well done.
There are some pretty bad kit cars out there, too. Here is one I recently ran across:

There would be a lot of labor time and money into something that just looks like crap. But it would be only be 3% of the value of a real one, so such a bargain! Please.
if he's going to build a replica of it, at least learn how to pronounce the damn name. it's Veyron, not Varon! I mean his replica might be the BuCatti Varon for licensing purposes, but for god sakes man, when you're referring to the real car, use the proper name! and if he's going to all that effort on the body, why use a production car chassis, why not design a tube frame chassis or something like what Connaught is using with the Type D? that way you could keep the weight down, build it to your specifications, and end up with a chassis just as safe as a Boxter if you engineered the crumple zones correctly. doing all that, you could really end up with a car capable of giving a "real" Veyron a run for it's money, especially if the final weight came in under 3,000 pounds and you used a 900hp+ engine. do your homework on the suspension, and you could even get it handling potentially as well as a Veyron, probably better due to the lower weight

+1 !! Its like watching a squirrel on crystal meth...
jumpy, very jumpy...

honestly I don't find the veyron a nice looking car to start off with. If you're going to replicate something, please step back and remind yourself why you're doing it. Replica breasts: good. Replica Veyron: meh.
Impression after 10 seconds: Sounds like Woody Allen with a stuffy nose, looks like Steeve-O
How many speech impediments can you count?
I noticed that this youtube video and similar ones by a similarly named company, all have the comments disabled. Hmm. Sounds dicey, but I felt a lot better after seeing this... Legal statement
