This is a little depressing to see. Still have the Beetle, but it has yet to see a rallycross, and there are no longer any near me. I'm less willing to put up with discomfort than Pete, so I don't intend to drive it hours away. I'm going to try to make sure it is roadworthy enough to hit some local cruise ins this summer. An air conditioned tow vehicle is also a future possibility.
Rally dreams are probably dashed permanently. I've had minor motion sickness issues dating back years, but they have gotten particularly bad on rough surfaces. Any off-roading I do will probably be in short stretches like in rallycross, or at slower speeds in a 4x4. A full rally stage would probably have me puking my guts out.

Have you tried taking anything for the motion sickness? Some of the codrivers have an entire arsenal of meds/patches/accessories to combat it.

Even while driving? I've heard of navigators getting motion sickness, but I'm not sure I've ever heard of it affecting drivers.
Yup, even driving. Rough gravel roads at speed tend to cause the problem, especially curvy ones, and I even had a bit of nausea last time I drove tail of the dragon.
I should look into some solutions a bit more. I've used Dramamine in the past past, but that is not compatible with driving, kind of need to be alert behind the wheel.

I've discovered that I can't do any type of circuit racing(road course, cart tracks, ovals, etc.) because I start getting disoriented & a bit dizzy after about 2 laps. Looking back, it should have been obvious - I can't stand amusement park rides, or the kiddie thing in parks that spins around - but I never fully understood or realized it until a few years ago.
Autocross isn't a problem, even if the course loops back on its self, since I have a time between runs to "unwind" my equilibrium.

It sounds like you may have it a bit worse than me. It's been a few years, but 8-12 minute indoor karting sessions never bothered me. I should try again and see how I do.
