I realize this isn't all that new, but I'm wondering if this means that sales of Kias are slowing?
A local Kia dealer is advertising on CL today that if you buy 1 new Kia, they will give you another free. I didn't read the details, but apparently if you buy a Kia SUV, like a Borrego, they "throw in" a new Rio. No one buys Rios anymore so maybe this is just a way to get rid of stock before a replacement model shows up.
Start looking for new used rios
The SUV they are selling is overpriced by the cost of a new car. (Not that I am but) If I were buying, I would just rather them discount the SUV the retail value of a Rio and call it good.
They have been doing this locally for as long as Kia has been around. It's just another sales gimmick. Around here it was buy a Sorento get a Rio for free. I would imagine you just about have to pay sticker to get that deal.

Probably have to buy the "paint sealant", too.

I'll take the free one! k thanks!
ooo... Kia Rio Challenge!! We could do it!!
No thanks I'll keep my Sephia. 174,xxx miles and still strong.
I think the Borrego is kinda neat.
I wouldn't buy a new one, but I do think it is neat.
Supposedly, the outgoing model of the Sorento is a decent SUV if you need to tow as it's rated for 3500lbs vs the new models 1700lbs.
Still, I don't think I'd buy any Kia new...and the Rio? Makes me long for the more "interesting" pre-Hyundai Kias like the Festiva and dare I say Aspire?
