If you're interested in our Lincoln (you should be) it is on eBay here!

So your not giving me the coil back? THE COIL that allowed you to run the Daytona race?
Thats fine I will take that set of ugly triangle mustang rims in trade. We want another set of rims anyhow for the car to sit on in an attempt to keep the "race" rubber fresh.
Nah, some of us want to build an MGB GT vintage race car, some of us want to build another LeChump car, some of us want to collect STDs.
MGB GT! MGB GT! Project car series with all the detail you can stand to print!
Yes, I did fill in the survey with my desire for more old(er) cars, project cars, and tech articles...
In reply to Per Schroeder:
Yeah, I groused about the black hole of Old-Cars-With-Grassroots-Ethic on the survey, too
Don't worry, I imagine there are more than one of me, and we'll probably all just keep subscribing to both mags...
Sorry for the threadjack.

And they make a living from it. (sigh)

wow...sounds like you were not too happy about how it did in chump car last weekend
I take that back. Allen brought me brand new coil and some plug wires to boot not a 1/2 hour after I made that post.
Looks like I will be buying those rims though.
Are you going to cronicle the sale? That would be a good picture for the magazine. I am searching the couch now!

I'd vote a midpack finish as a success after reading about this car.
I think the car finished 24th at Chump Charlotte last year with zero race strategy, so it will hunt. The done roll cage, ATL fuel cell and brand new Holley carb make the Lincoln a steal. We intentionally hobbled the engine with a 2 barrel so that no one would accuse "those magazine people" of cheating. So... If someone wants to find some HP on the cheap, get some real tires (we ran 420 TW Ecstas), and spend some time dialing in the sta bars, this really can be a great crapcan racer. It's a real tank, too. Super safe.
Yes, as the budget doesn't include brakes, fuel system, tires, wheels, etc. that the car comes with. The AIV of $500 proves the car is fully legal.

Of course. Think how much it would cost to buy and weld in the included roll cage. That cage alone would run $1K or more. This car already has that --and all other safety expenditures such as belts, a window net, etc -- already done. Plus, the Lincoln has all of the sorting B.S. like a new radiator, thermostat, fan belt, wheel bearings as examples. It does have a used alternator, so consider buying a spare before your next race. Chump and LeMons both want you to finish every race and come back for more. You'll never get penalized for a sporting a shiny stock replacement radiator.
They live in Florida... I doubt their house has a basement...
Over $1000 as I post this. Still looks like a good deal. I'm not sure how I'd get it to pa, tho... Nor do I have anyplace to store it...
