I buy the cheapest "metal" blade I can. I replace them every six months to a year. Considering our weather, especially with the snow/frost/ice and big thaw cycles in the winter, they get beat to E36 M3 no matter how nice a blade you start with.

A good rule of thumb is replace before first snowfall, and replace once there is no more snow on the ground.

IF you live in a climate where there is no snow, then I think the one piece style ones make a lot more sense. Or if you park in a garage/underground parking every night.

Not bad, and they seem to last a lot longer than the aftermarket stuff. We have bought 3 sets in 100k miles over about 6 years. In Michigan.

Interesting, the OE crap on the wife's Odyssey literally ripped apart after ~8k miles and half a winter. I put the Bosch icons on everything now, just found them for 18/ea at WalMart last week. And the orange washer fluid rocks, especially when it gets to negative temps around here.
