Given Cadillac's less than exciting liveries on their current DPi cars, I'm guessing they won't.

With the way the body points forwards GM could easily switch the branding to a Corvette.

Now that you mention that, I do see a lot of Corvette in that nose.
And clever use of a clear dorsal fin...
Suprised they are branding it for Caddy, but it looks good. Maybe a new XLR in the future?
How does this sell more Escalades?

They're still trying to shake off the grandpa image. Racing (and the Blackwing) is supposed to establish Caddy as a performance brand and lure buyers from BMW and Mercedes.
Awesome looking. I want one for my track car

FTFY
It looks good. I really like how each manufacturer is able to include their design language into the prototype cars.

They've had V cars for close to 20 years now. 20 years since they had their LMP900 cars. That's a long time to shake off an image. Maybe GM corporatism is the issue.

It builds excitement for the overall GM brand. I doubt the Acura version sells more MDX's or Honda Ridgelines but helps to bolster the Honda/Acura name. When the first gen CTS-V came out I seriously considered getting rid of my M5 for one. In hindsight I wish I had.
I can't wait for all of the new GTP/Le Mans prototype cars. The next few years of sports car racing could end up rivaling the glory IMSA GTP days.
