G&T is all about the lime.
What's the deal with scotch? I've never tasted it before. Is it the natural progression from bourbon? I've been on this bourbon kick now for about 2 years but only main stream stuff (Bulleit, Eagle Rare, Maker's Mark, Buffalo Trace, etc). I may of had a few glasses of Bulleit tonight
On a semi related note, my girlfriend's poison of choice is gin. Specifically G&T. She's made me a few but I can say that I'm not a big fan. It's too bitter for me. Like sucking on a pine tree.
Anybody ever hear of Zaya rum? That's what takes the edge off the day when I'm out of bourbon.
I have heard of, but not sampled Zaya.
Nearest I can tell, scotch is another category in the wide world of "whiskey". Technically it's "whisky" in the scotch case, but whatever. The taste and flavor profiles are different, but they end up with a lot of similar characteristics.
I could start a thread about comparing Saab 9-5's to a V70's and it fizzles out in one page.
But start a thread about a missing letter H and we're at THREE PAGES?!?
Just another reason why I come here multiple times per day!

Really? That's a interesting turn. Putting the grassroots back in grassroots?

I think this thread's about alcohol.
Related note, I'm pleasantly surprised at my lack of a hangover this morning. Must be a sign from the wrenching gods I need to finally go rebuild that VANOS system and maybe put in some time on the Challenge car.

Sounds interesting to me. Cobbled together and fast as hell?
Call who? Angie? Harmon? She might be a little out of my league but... ok... can I say you told me to call?

A good alternative is a Vodka & Tonic.
Sugar kills the bitter in the G&T. Smooths it out a bit so it slides down faster and you get that last bit of un desolved sugar on the bottom you scrape out with a spoon. Just caps off the drink to perfection.
Ahhhhh V&T. Same as G&T but I like it with lemon. Instead of lime. Maybe a little tripplesec depending on my mood.

Or tequila & tonic. Gotta be decent tequila though...

Other way around, bourbon is descended from scotch.
