This is about two years old. I do not remember it being referenced on GRM. I searched for prior threads with no hits. Any of you old enough to remember the Can-Am will probably find this interesting. It takes about four minutes to get to the good stuff.

I enjoyed reading Mark Donohue's book The Unfair Advantage where in the latter part he talked at length about Can Am. Porsche's turbo monsters are often credited with being so far out in front and perineally in the winner's circle that it killed the series. However, Donohue points out that it was actually Penske engineers who showed them how to set the thing up. And it wasn't an easy task due to the hubris at Stuttgart. The cars they were given were in no way capable of winning.
Can-Am may have been the coolest racing series ever. Thanks for posting the link.
