I'm in the market for an off road motorcycle helmet. I see everyone wearing helmets with crazy graphics, but I'm no longer 18 and I'm not interested in trying to pull off that look. I'm not surprised that the helmet manufacturers offer graphics on them, but I was a little surprised that you can't just get a plain one, or even something subtle. I'd really just like a plain white helmet, but I'd probably settle for any other solid color. The closest to normal that I can find is matte black, which I really don't care for either. You would think that they would offer something plain for guys who want to add a custom paint job of their own.
Seriously, Bell offers 10 variations on this theme, plus matte black.
Am I asking for too much, by asking for a little less?
I can't help, except for commiseration. I'll bet that there's a company out there that offers plain helmets, but I'd double down on them being CCS (Cheap Chinese...uh..Stuff), and worthless in an impact.
You could always ask a large manufacturer to send you a plain one at retail price. It would save them a manufacturing step.
But the individualized service would actually add labor.
For serious, this is stumping you?

The VX Pro-3 is Snell 2010 rated.
On a related note..........have you ever tried finding just a plain old baseball style cap with out some companies name, slogan, goofy picture, saying or trade mark on it? It can be done but it's nearly impossible.
I'm with you on wanting plain solid color helmets, but in the case of off road helmets I kinda stopped caring about what it looks like as long as it protects my head and buy whatever is cheapest and most comfortable.

From my experience in parts/accessories in a motorcycle shop it seems that solid colors or subdued graphics = older buyers = more money. So, the relationship of graphics to dollars is roughly inverse.

Go to a shop that does T shirt screen printing and embroidery stuff.

Also, goofy clothes when trying to make costumes. Walmart has become "hip" now in the sense you actually can't walk in there and buy clothes that will make you look like an ass-clown. I tried! I can't even get my killer board shorts with skullz and roses on them anymore for when I really want to party hard :(
Tried dressing as Mario one year. Good LUCK finding denim overalls, I had to buy new ones and they were $50. Went to three "value villages" and a lot of costume shops with no dice. Finding the red ballcap was also frustrating!
I usually buy helmets on clearance in the ugly graphics noone wants then sand them down and spraypaint it.
