I shat a brick on that SHO vs SUV one.... Also with how high hoods are now. Look at the 300/370Z!

I would like to see the new Lincoln MKS vs just about anything. That thing is almost as tall as older minivans.

MKS is the same basic car as the New Taurus SHO as shown here, huge.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. I just know I had seen one on my commute while I was driving my f350 and could barely see the top of it. lol

I'd like to see some new cars next to earlier generations of the next model size up. In other words, things like:

Brand new Jetta vs. '90 - '93 Passat

New Civic vs. 80's - early 90's accord.

New Fit vs '88 - '91 Civic

and so forth. I find it funny that the only reason we needed the new B size cars in the first place is that the C segment cars grew themselves out of their own segment!

Well, if it's not bigger, it's not better - right?

Here are a few of the recent requests. Now we know the answer to what a 1986 Taurus and a 2010 Ferrari 458 have in common: neither one is available in the Tire Rack wheel machine. Think of all the lost sales!

MKS versus the standard 2004 Chrysler minivan.

The F430 isn't really a big car at all, FWIW.

Nor is it in the image bank. That's disappointing.

The two I'd like to see i already know tire rack doesn't have pictures for, ae86 vs frs and MINI vs Mini. I parked the ae86 next to a veloster and was surprised to see the veloster was shorter.

Holy crap, that thing is big.

Javelin, the Grand Wagoneer isn't listed. So I gave you a 2000 GC instead.

Wow, I knew the Viper and Vette roofs were low, but against an NA Miata they've got the same roofline, that's pretty cool...

Want to know if something is available? Easy enough to check, just go look for wheels for that vehicle.

88 Toyota Mr-2 vs. 00 toyota MR2 Spyder vs. 05 Lotus Elise <- can't see both Toyotas in that picture. So I randomly picked the Spyder to face up to the Elise.

The Panamera is the same size as a Challenger.

The 2011 Porsche family. I left out the Cayman because it hid the 911.

Neon vs Caliber.

Almost forgot - Dodge Caliber vs 1994 Dodge Shadow. Only on GRM. Everyone else would be asking for Lamborghinis.

There's no master plan as to what cars get included in the Tire Rack database, especially in the early years. I suspect the criteria are 1) cars they can get and 2) cars that are worth doing. Which apparently only includes the convertible Shadow and not the coupe, by the way. I imagine everyone else has noticed the variation in image quality with the older cars.

i'd like to see the 4 M3s and 5 M5s to see the growth so lets say:

M3 coupes from
1990 vs 1998 vs 2004 vs 2010

and M5 sedans from
1988 vs 1992 vs 2001 vs 2007 vs 2012 (probably not in yet)

I'd like to see a 1990 M3 vs a 1998 M3 vs a current model. Maybe include a 2003 as well if it can be seen.

A "have they gotten even bigger?" one:

1990 Chevy Suburban vs a quad cab present day F350 or GMC truck.

Neon vs Caliber was quite a surprise - the Caliber looks a lot bigger.

BMWs were not as exciting as you might expect. The growth is there, but it's more gradual than you think.

Not what I expected either - E30s just look so much smaller than my E36. Guess it's some sort of trick of the styling more than actual growth.
