Sorry if I've got the terminology wrong, I'm not an electronics guy. I'm talking about where the back of your stereo plugs into the harness for the car. Working on my '94 Mustang GT. It has a pretty crappy stereo in it, but we got a Blaupunkt stero w/bluetooth in the parts that came with the car. However, the connections on the back are different. Do they sell or make adapters, or how do I make this work? Here's a picture. On the right is from the car, on the left is what was in the Blaupunkt stereo (the wires were all cut off).
Harness.
Get your radio's model number and Google for that plus the word "harness".

Yep, you're about an $10 dollar harness and some crimp connections away from connecting it.
Aftermarket stereos always have that "cut off" harness so they can be connected to one for your car.
Since it's a mustang, there's a good chance your local advance or whatever has a harness and mounting kit in stock. They did for my 2000 Chevy.
Even Walmart carries the pigtail harnesses. They have them for Toyota's, they should surely have them for a Ford. You get one of those, take the pigtail harness that came with your radio, wire them together. Today, in my experience, even the colors will match up, but I still go by the drawings.
I'm confused. The harness in the Mustang isn't the same size/shape as the pigtail that came with the Blaupunkt.
The pigtail that came with the blaupunkt you plug into the blaupunkt. You buy a pigtail harness (with plug) that plugs into your Mustang original harness. Then you have 2 sets of wires that need to be connected to each other.

That makes sense. Got it, thanks!! For a moment, I was afraid I had to cut the Mustang harness.

This is the one I bought for my 94 Mazda B4000. Probably the same one that fits your Mustang.
Thanks!!! From the description, it does fit my Mustang. Thanks to Prime, it'll be here tomorrow.
