Hi all, I'm looking to install carpet into my project BMW and want to know of any tips and tricks. I've changed the floor pan enough that a standard kit won't fit. It's a 1971 Bavaria(E3). I'm planning to just find some indoor/outdoor carpet, cut it into appropriate shapes and glue it down. I'm looking at using 6 rough pieces; tunnel, floors x 2, sils x2 and a piece along the rear seat platform. Any previous experiences, glues to use? I used the 3M spray glue to install some insulation/heat barrier, but I'm not sure it's thick or strong enough to hold carpet in place.
