cars that have the windshield washer sprayers on the wipers themselves.

With the e30 hood now off the hinges and just with pins, I need to rig up a new way to mount the sprayers (for rallycross, I still need to use them frequently). There are inelegant ways to mount them (on a raised platform on the sill just in front of the windshield, so they clear the wipers when spraying), and other ways (stock location but with a quick-connect for the hoses that I'll be sure to forget to connect when putting the hood on).

So was thinking of rigging up something like some cars that have them actually on the wipers. I could just ziptie the hoses to the wipers and call it a day, but was thinking of cars that have this setup stock and what kind of nozzle they use to release the fluid in a spray pattern there - as well as what kind of hose is used that isn't going to kink/break going back and forth a thousand times in a rainstorm.

So....what cars that I might find at a junkyard have a system like this? I don't think anything I've ever owned has it, but I know I've seen them. Learn me!

Jeep cherokees on the rear wiper I think. might be only the older cherokees.

Also, my 1984 f250 has (I'm not looking at it right now, so this is only if I remember right) a nozzle mounted to the cowl area right below the windshield but not on the hood. Could you mount one there?

chevys fullsize trucks late 90's early 00's have it, its the only system ive personally worked on and it just used regular hose fed into holders in the arms and slid on the sprayers.

yeah, the cowl area was what I was referring to in the original post. But the problem is that a sprayer there is going to be spraying directly into the wiper arm unless I put it up on some kind of "platform" to sit it up higher. That's the fallback plan, but it won't look all that beautiful so I'd rather look into other options first.

this sounds like a plan. I'd guess the sprayers are shaped to fit, so will have to be on the lookout for them.

looks like 80s and 90s Camaros had them too.

C5 Corvette has them.

last gen Buick Regals had this (mine was a 2001). Maybe other W bodies too?

A lto of Chevy trucks and NS Caravans had them.

sounds like I'm gonna be in good shape basically looking for any 80s-90s GM. Now I'm wondering if they maybe just have the nozzles at the autoparts store in the "Dorman HELP!" section, lol.

FYI, not sure it this helps but my 1988 E250 van has washer nozzles on the wiper arm.

The arm-mounts work pretty well. They're cheap enough new that you don't need to go to the junkyard.

GM B Bodies had them.

I think you hit it, most 90's GM's had them.

I had a 93 Grand Am and it had them. The Grand Am body style was new in 92.

They work well too. Mine would occasionally get water in them and then if it turned cold they would freeze up. You just popped them off the arm and held them in your hand for a minute or so and they would thaw.

My '11 Sonata has them and I USE them!

Any GM van made in the last 20 years.

lol.....Yeah, I know how to use Amazon.com and rockauto already, but $50 for sprayers that are probably on 100 cars at the local pick-n-pull....I think I'll just go to the pick-n-pull

The ones for the 96- W-Bodies were like $22/$21. I imagine if you get the full breakdown of what had them you could find some more popular ones for around $14-$17 each.

Or you could zippy-tie some windshield washer hose up your current arms...

Looks like Josh S. is going to pick-n-pull anyhow this weekend, so he said he'd pull me a few sets of whatever he found. Never a shortage of old American cars at the yard!
