I've done the ziptie thing... on my B-body, because the little plastic ones that clip to the arm tend to break when you sneeze too hard.

I know a guy who's replaced his Samurai's factory windshield "splurter" with lines zip-tied to the wiper arms, and it works well...I plan to do the same on mine.

If this plan fails you for some reason, it seems like I remember seeing older vehicles that used a small metal line poking up out of the cowl, bent back to aim at the windshield, and the end squeezed down sorta flat to give the desired spray pattern. I like the fixed sprayers better than the ones mounted to the arms, but thats a personal preference thing.

Dodge Shadows/Spirits/Dynasties and their Chrysler/Plymouth equivalents also had them.

Come to think of it, those sprayer-on-wiper setups worked far better than any sprayer on the hood I've ever used.
