Here's a thought, do you think it's possible Porsche made the "mistake" of building a car that's better than the ass-backwards 911 again? If so, this car's production might be very limited...

it wasn't a mistake, they know that they have, and that they needed to. GT4 Cup is coming...

I know people who dd bikes for christ sakes. Not as a useable space thing, that's fine, but there are literally roads he can't drive down. Paved roads. In neighborhoods. The car is LOUD on the freeway. Exhaustingly loud. You're tired when you get someplace. It's like you took a Miata and modded it to within an inch of it's life and you get to the point where you'd rather just hop in your truck because the car is really rather unpleasant to drive. That's pretty much what the Lotus is.
I'm quite familiar with these types of vehicles. Maybe my definition of comfort is a little different than most but I'd dd either of those cars in a heartbeat. Honestly, I'd gut the both of them because I think the point of these cars is to be raw, E3m3 I bet they both even have stereos. I think the worlds gone a little soft.
Each to their own I guess.
We're talking about these two interiors being unlivable right?
Id drive either of these down a dirt road in a pinch, honestly both need a little drop to look right imho, just an inch or so, nothing crazy.

The Mazda SR and Cayman GT4 justify buying a lottery ticket. That's probably enough moolah to get a track car and spares, a solo and solo trials car plus a bitchin tow vehicle and trailer. Hell, I'd consider the Porsche as the DD.
Blow not wanted, hookers need not apply...
Apologies for digging up a relatively old thread, but I didn't want to start a new one on the same topic.
As someone who is extremely interested in a GT4, my concerns mostly lie with whether the car is a "keep it forever" type car or not. I really want this car, but (unlike most of the people who will buy this car, I am sure), I'd likely keep it "forever". That being said, I wonder about how a car like this will hold up and be maintained decades from now. Perhaps the people on this forum with actual knowledge on engineering and whatnot will be able to enlighten me. I wonder how the electronics, etc will hold up on the long term. Makes me think about the 959 today...all this "high tech" stuff from the 80s, but I wonder how that stuff is maintained today?
The Porsche oem quality or better aftermarket is very strong and the GT4 isn't technically advanced. It's more a German hotrod and driver's car.

If you want one start calling dealers now. Seems like pretty much all allocations are spoken for. I called my local dealer and am 10th on the list, so considering they might get two allocations my hopes of getting a call from them are pretty much non existent.
As far as how they hold up I'm not worried. Things break...you fix them...no big deal. I will say in general my AC Porsches have held up better than the water cooled ones.

Sweet, I'm signing up!
Link to PCA Raffle. Entry deadline is coming up at the end of the month. How much to join the PCA and how much are raffle tickets?

Tickets are $50 a piece. PCA membership is around $50 a year also.

While the GT4 is less "advanced" than its stablemates, It still features plenty of stuff that's technologically advanced...PTV, PASM...even the electronic handbrake. I just wonder about those things
And yes, I know the allocations are long gone...maybe I'll have to wait for the second production run, before these things stray towards turbocharging...
