I stumbled across a very well built race car rolling shell at a steal of a price. I have not seen it in person yet. It is decsribed as having a "tube frame rear section" It also has a full cage. The car would have originaly had conventional unibody construction. I don't know how much of the orriginal rear frame work is left. Is this challenge eligible or forbiden?

Short answer is: it depends. Modifications to the frame can be done to fit other modifications, but you can't replace wholesale sections with tubing just to do so. So, if the rear suspension required that tubing, that's fine. If it was done to save weight--not so good.
