trying to figure out how many nights to spend in gainesville. what is happening friday and saturday at the challenge? debating whether to stay saturday night or leave from the festivities and head down toward orlando to hook back up with my wife and kids.
Do you live in Orlando? After the award ceremony I'm heading back to Orlando. Spending Thursday and Friday night.

Thursday night is parking lot crawl with lots of good beer and catching up. We will be grilling brats for everyone so dinner is covered. 
Friday night (weather permitting) should be the drags and then hanging by the hotel pool until they kick us out. Usually the entire GA Tech team tries to fit into the hot tub at once. Not to be missed!
Saturday night is always the banquet where we get to see and hear the brilliance that is J.G. Good times.
I'd wait to head to Orlando on Sunday as you get to see the wife and kids the other 362 days out of the year. You only get to spend three days with all of us crazies so make the most of it.

BIL moved to orlando, i have a new nephew that I've never met and going to stay with them sunday. Taking kids to the evil kingdom monday then going to stay a stones throw from grm hq Tuesday through Saturday(halloween) before heading back to Ohio
I head down after work is done on Wednesday, giving us most of Thursday to recover (read as build the car), Thursday night to overindulge, Friday to... well you know, Friday night to overindulge, Saturday to scrape up what's left of us and enjoy the gathering, Saturday night to overindulge, Sunday to crawl to the tow rig and slink our way north 1000 miles.
Half of the reason I go to the Challenge is for the parties.
