I wouldn't mind driving a Charger (I don't think) but I wish it was available with a manual transmission. The Challenger has been available with a manual. How big a job would it be to buy a wrecked Challenger and put the manual into the Charger...?

I heard it didn't happen because it would require work to the transmission tunnel to fit and that would require the necessary slew of crash test certifications and they decided it wasn't worth it.

That makes a certain amount of sense. So you'd probably have to weld in a new transmission tunnel, too.

Autocrossed a friends Hellcat (challenger auto) on the inexplicably included 265 wide all season tires total freaking hoot and enough nuclear weapon to a foxy boxing match levels of overkill in FS that it was nearly competitive. Real shocks/tires and taking it any form of seriously would make for a competitive car.
I stopped by ThreePedals in VA, who specialize in manual trans swaps. 5 years ago they were working on a manual swap for a charger. They said they were trying to figure out the electronics of the situation. They still haven't figured it out.

They are very wide, very heavy, and very under-tired.
The third one of those things is fixable.

I've done the Tail of the Dragon in a Hemi Charger. It sucked.
I test drove a new at the time 2019 and they are semi luxury cars with a bit of attitude. This is not a bad thing. I really liked it. The one I drove was an srt with the 5.7 Hemi. It made nice noises it was well appointed interior wise. It was fast enough. I like my DD cats to have 4 doors. I still may get one when my current DD finally ware's out. Looks are subjective but I like the looks. I particularly like the rear of the cars. So many cars the back end seems like an after thought but the charger it is not and I think looks really good.
A sports car this is not. You can make them Handel much better but I would assume that you sacrifice ride quality. These cars are at there best cruising the down town on a Saturday night or eating up highway miles.
I really liked the one I test drove.
