The other evening I passed a clean Chevy Monza--I know, probably the last one in the wild. Sounded like a V8, too. Later on, I saw a clean, stock Chevette. Did I go back in time for a few?

Ohh wow ... Back in the early 80's when I was around 5 or so, I remember riding in my aunts Chevette ... I thought it was a cool car back then because it was automatic and both my mom and dad drove manuals, lol !!

The last Monza I saw was on the dragstrip.
Which brings me to a question that has been rattling around my tiny brain. What percentage of Vegas and Monzas left in the world are drag race cars?
I pass a nice pinto on the way int o work every day. Red with small black hood scoop tastefully done with black steelies with red stripe.
One of my students was very proud of his newly acquired Chevette. It looked pretty clean and I can't wait to get it up on a lift.

I saw one of those last week but
The interesting cars have been coming out of the garages here, too. Several freshly redone Beetles, a really nice first gen CRX, and a strange site in this area, a Countach. A couple with an old 911 checked into the hotel where I work last weekend.

Every day after school I'd come home, start 1000 ccs of Ringer's Lactate and watch it. Today at the train station there was an old Land Rover With a long body and a canvas top and every day some guy comes in with a very clean mid 80's Riviera

For the record, I had NOTHING to do with this...
Been seeing more of the interesting cars coming out here again with the weather warming up. Doesn't hold a candle to how many I saw in PA when I was still going back there regularly on business... for some reason there were LOTS of older cars running around out there. Of course, I'll see plenty here when Somernites starts back up for the year...
On a recent road trip my fiance found it funny that I was more excited by seeing a Yugo in the wild than a Ford GT...
This Starfire (Olds Monza) is for sale just down the street for me. It may be the nicest one left in the world.
My brother has a strong Olds 350 that this would make a great home for.......
