So I would like to get a new driver's seat for my Civic. Mine is ripped and uncomfortable. I would also like to lower the seat an inch or two. Are there any differences between Integra GSR and normal Integra seats? And does anyone make seating mounting rails that lower the seat? If those don't exist, what is a good street seat that isn't too terribly expensive?
Seating position is going to be about the same for OEM stuff. GSR seats have more support I believe but all those seat are damn near resting on the floor already. It's the construction of the seat that puts you inches from the ceiling. If you want to go lower you'll have to go aftermarket. I have Megan seat brackets in my car. Got em from thmotorsports.com.

Wish I could be of more help. I've been trying to figure out if I could swap EP3 seats into mine. I love those seats.
So what aftermarket seats are decently comfortable and allow me to keep the seatbelts instead of harnesses (let's say no more the $300 for the driver's setup including mounting)? Is there anything out there?

For what it's worth, there was a significant sitting height difference between my wife's LS integra and my GSR, with her's being lower. Notice I didn't say seat height. The cloth LS seats simply sagged more than my leather GSR seats. I'd guess that a leather integra seat would actually raise your sitting height if you're already on tired cloth units. Also, I'm not sure the GSR had any more support than the LS seats. They're exactly the same shape, just different cover materials.
I am thinking I am going to pass on the Integra seats and find something aftermarket cause I really need to lose an inch or 2 to comfortable fit a helmet.
If you want comfortable OEM seats with a lower seating position, find a pair of Del Sol seats. Thats what I put in my '93Si. The Del Sol seats made it possbile for 6 foot 4 inches of me to fit under the sunroof with a helmet on.
The seat rails for the Del Sol are significantly different. The seat rails interchange so you'll have to bolt your original Civic rails to the Del Sol seat.
I have never sat in a Honda seat I have ever found comfortable. I had a pair of dad racing seats that were stupid comfortable. I believe it was less than $200 for both seats
Yeah, most Honda seats are crappy to tolerable-at-best in my experience. I might have to look into those DAD seats, so thanks for the heads-up MrHappy. I wanted to read the logo as CNC backwards though.
Where did you get those seat? Are they just cheap Chinese knockoffs?
It was years ago. They came from a tuner shop that was open in town. From what I remember they were rebranded aerospeed seats.
I have the JDM Recaro SRD in mine. They rock, but anyone with a waist wider than 32" is not going to fit. Mine were dirty/stained in a couple places so I got them for a steal. Same height as stock, but the seat bottom is angled up.

If you can still find them, Del Sol seats are fantastic.
I put a set into my 99 Civic Si within less than a year of ownership because the stock seats were awful. Great bolstering and they sit lower for more helmet clearance. No issues with long road trips for me, although my wife doesn't like them. I think they're super comfy.
Driver's bolster is wearing out, so I'll get them re-covered at some point.
