The Civic has some very dusty Wilwood pads that get the wheels dirty every day. They work great and are worth the extra effort. What's a good way to clean the dust off the wheels every other day without water? I would also prefer to avoid getting a spray solution on the brakes. Maybe just wet a rag and wipe?

I've bought a California duster for the purpose but it is just as easy to use a towel and water; it really doesn't save you any effort. I'm contemplating coating my wheels with Klasse sealant to prevent the dist from getting on there in the first place. In the past I've found the armor all wheel protectant works well for about 6 weeks under non-track conditions.

I clean, clay bar, and wax my wheels and it seems to reduce what sticks to them. And it also makes it easy to just dry wipe them clean. It is worth noting that I have a separate set of wheels for the street and the track.

keep in mind that whatever you're using to clean .. is only cleaning the visible portion … the inside is still getting coated with brake dust .. which will get baked on if you don't take the rims off occasionally and clean the back sides

lol in my 350Z I got so tired of brake dust that I just stopped caring and cleaned them when i cleaned the car. Then I got wheels with a different offset and didn't dust at all then.

Toilet brush. Wet works best, but you just need to dunk it in water, no big spray action.

I kept using Kosei K1s on the M3 track rat just to avoid cleaning. About the time they'd start to look really disreputable they'd develop cracks on the inside bead flanges so I'd Sawz y'all them to render them unusable and sell them for scrap.

Much better than cleaning.

I did not know that about K1s.

It's seems like anything other than water will be a big time sink, water isn't going to hurt the pads/rotors/friction surface.

Are the pads known for having corrosive dust or something?

Dust from cold high performance brakes is usually rotor material, not pad material. When cold the rotors are what wears, when hot the pads wear.
