Sounds more like a linkage issue. I would start there. See if you can get it into all gears by moving the shift levers at the transmission. You should be able to do that without the clutch.

Definitely sounds more like linkage issues than clutch. Does the pedal feel any different or clutch make any sounds if depressed or anything?

If it won't go into gears with the engine off, it's not the clutch.

It sounds like a linkage problem to me also, but why did you coast to a stop in 3rd gear with the clutch in?

$2,300 is crazy money even when you figure labor. The most expensive clutch kit I could find for your car on RockAuto was less than $600 and it included a flywheel!

and quit depending on the dealership for your maintenance … in most cases (Curmudgeon being one of the exceptions ) dealerships are there to sell cars .. not maintain them

find yourself an indy that you trust and use them for most of you repair needs

at that price, they're just making sure that their bonuses are secure for the month
