Last Friday our press car service dropped off this 2020 tundra for us to drive.
A couple hours ago I bought this:
Yes, I drove the press Tundra to buy the used Tundra. I guess the system works.

Tundra Pros are excellent
Congrats on yours! Best trucks in the business. looks like your Tundra has the SET/GST requisite fender flares.

Yeah, it's the "XSP" SE Toyota package. Flares, 20" BBSs, swank leather, carbon fiber trim and running boards. Mostly fluff but the seats are really comfortable. I actually like them better than the OEM leathers.

Shoot I'll meet you there in 20 minutes.
You’ll love your new Toyota.
Mine has 272,000 miles and counting. It’s like the Energizer bunny, it keeps going and going and going..........

They open this late?
I thought you kept these factory loans forever. Misplace the keys, not sure who has it, lost it in the parking lot.

Yup I stay away from all gst/set toyotas due to the flare :)
That press car looks awesome. I've been wanting to trade in my '01 Sequoia for something new like that but these 1st Gen Sequoias/Tundras are amazing and won't stop. Not sure if the second gens are in the same boat but the airbags in the rear for towing really help out.
I love my 2006 Tundra Double Cab. It's not the best at anything, nor is it bad at anything. It's not an eyesore, nor is it too nice to go get a couple scoops of mulch dumped into. Comfy like a beat up pair of jeans.
Congrats on the new truck! I'd like to have the 5.7L from the newer trucks, but I like the smaller size of the old one.

2nd gens are just as amazing. Lots of 700k-900k mile examples out there. Unlike 1st gen, no timing belt. Watch out for the secondary air injection pump - only real issues with 2nd gen.

'10.
It was the first facelift year of the generation that began in 2007
I like the new one but the thing about the new one is you can just go buy one exactly like that! Somehow the idea of finding an older vehicle in rare-ish spec and condition seems a lot more special even if it isn't superior to something you can go order brand new right now. Car guy logic, go figure. The used truck looks great, JG!

Agreed 100%. However, for me 2010 isn't old enough. 2004-2005, crew cab Limited Tundra, 4.7L, 1 owner under 50k miles, that would satisfy this thirst for me. Literally the Lexus of trucks.

One of the Craigslist ads I saw was for a 2015 with 280,000 miles on it. That's a lot of windshield time.
In reply to JG Pasterjak :
Yup. THere are a few 500K mile 2011+ trucks running around on the Tundra forums, and of course the famous million mile one (there are 2 officially now, if I recall)
Lot of people I know are doing 55-80K miles a year. Economy is good, there is big money out there to chase.
Looks like they're trying to mix nostalgia for square bodies with modern swoopy curvy everything. I really appreciate that the headlights are at eyeball height if you're in a lesser vehicle, really puts us in our place.
